Heather Busch earned a double bachelor’s degree at University of Colorado Boulder, in western water resource management and physical geography. In between educational programs, Heather worked as an executive nanny, taught junior ski school, and partnered in collaboration with MSU and UM as a entomological research assistant in SE Alaska. She went on to complete her Masters of Ed in Montessori education in New York.
Heather has worked in primary education curriculum development, alignment, and classroom instruction and established visiting artist, environmental steward, greenhouse and student-led farm-to-table initiatives in regional school systems. She believes in the idea of limitless potential in every child when given meaningful experiential opportunities.
Heather currently serves as assistant to the Munson Healthcare oncology service line at Cowell Family Cancer Center in Traverse City.
Originally from East Lansing, she and her daughter, Isabella, have made northern MI their home from where they have found a haven for the outdoors, farmers markets, and a base to explore new corners of the world.
